The hugely exciting news is that I will be playing a very special Stranglers tribute show at the Anteros Arts Foundation in Norwich on Saturday March 16th. The Stranglers were (and still are) our gang’s favourite band, and this show will be a very personal tribute to the band’s 50th Anniversary in 2024. It will be packed with humour, nostalgia, poignancy and acoustic interpretations of classic Stranglers songs from ’77 to ’82. Well, that was great fun earlier in the year playing all the live dates. After appearing with a songs and stories Stumpy performance at the North Walsham ‘Rite of Spring’ Festival in June, the Stumpy bandwagon played 2 x sold out shows in Norwich (Anteros Arts Foundation) and in North Walsham (Community Centre). The North Walsham show was a fundraiser for Poppyland Radio, North Norfolk’s Community Radio Station, and raided £600 for the station. These dates were then followed by a packed event at the Caddington Local History Group, just over the hills and field from Stumpy and gang’s old stamping grounds. A huge thank you to everyone who came along to these shows and performances.
